Tampa Taxpayer's ALERT

Hillsborough is one of the largest counties in Florida. And, Tampa is one of the largest cities. There is a busy airport, a vibrant sea port, growing business community in downtown. The revitalization of Ybor City, the build out of Harbor Island all testify to economic success.

YET, with over $7 billion in tangible property assets reported in 2005, not one Value Adjustment Board petition was successful. And, of $57,495,154,843 in real estate assessments, only $34,792,560 - less than one percent (1%) - obtained relief from the 2005 Value Adjustment Board.

Can it be that the property appraiser did not make one mistake, did not miss one fact, did not omit one criteria? Property owners should be asking why the Hillsborough County Value Adjustment Board is not protecting Tampa taxpayers!

Do you want to lower your property taxes? Ad valorem taxes are based upon valuation methods, modified by state laws and regulations.
